Former UVI President Dr. LaVerne E. Ragster, the University’s fourth president and first female president, was presented with a framed copy of the Board of Trustees resolution granting her President Emeritus status during the University's Charter Day Ceremony on Friday, March 15, 2013. The resolution was passed by the Board of Trustees on Oct. 27, 2012.
