St. Croix Students Win Model UN Competition

The Third Annual Model United Nations Competition was held on March 18, on the University of the Virgin Islands St. Thomas campus. Students from the St. Croix campus acted as a Chinese delegation, presenting on the topics of Child Trafficking, Ending Rural Poverty, Air Pollution and Drug Trafficking. St. Thomas campus students acted as a Russian delegation, presenting on the topics of HIV/AIDS, Child Trafficking, Environmental Hazards and the Chechen Rebels and Russian Government. The St. Croix students won the competition. Pictured from left to right are the winners Miguelina Valdes, Nikki R.
